King Richard the Third Poetry Competition

Pupils from Year 6 are delighted to have won Leicester University's Richard the Third Poetry Competition. They were tasked with writing a poem about the reinternment of King Richard and have been chosen as the best class entries. Humaiirah Ali won the prize for best poem and will receive a £10 book token. The class will be treated to a trip to the new King Richard Visitor centre, Leicester Cathedral and Bosworth Battlefield as their prize. the judges were very impressed with the extremely high quality of work in the poems , which will be read out at the Leicester University open day on Saturday March 21st. Well done Year 6!
