Physical Education at Medway Community Primary School
Medway Primary School believes that physical education experienced in a safe and supportive environment, is a unique and vital contributor to a pupil’s physical development and well-being.
Physical Education & Values
Our PE curriculum is shaped by our school aims:
Together we succeed
Everyone's of equal worth
Achieve to your full potential
More diversity, more acceptance, a greater good
At Medway we believe our children should develop lifelong values and through this we have incorporated our school games values, British values and school values to help us shape our PE curriculum.
Here at Medway we are lucky to have our PE teacher Mr Ahmed assigned solely to Physical Education.
Mr Ahmed has a sports background and provides the school with good quality PE provision in addition to running after school clubs, competitive team games and intervention groups for fine motor skills.

Year 5 children have swimming incorporated into their curriculum to support the national commitment that pupils should leave primary school able to swim 25m unaided and be knowledgeable and safe around water.
At lunch time the school advocates healthy play and uses Ms Condron to facilitate playground games that the children can learn and use.
