Monthly Update from Mr Williams
As we approach the end of half term I thought it apposite to identify some of the improvements at Medway. Firstly, our school has had the pleasure of welcoming guests from all over Leicester to watch our teachers deliver our values curriculum. As well, our brilliant Community, Family and Welfare Team have been discussed at national level within the 'Worth It' project.
Our school is blossoming inside as well with some impressive work by children showcased by delicately managed display work that is both captivating and informative. Our outdoor areas have been embedded with art work and we've also managed to showcase our Early Year's work with a different outdoor space.
On a personal note I've been visiting galleries and exhibitions recently and want to extend a warm invite to New Walk Museum on Wednesday 15th February where I'll be having a tour of "Sublime symmetry", by the Museum curator at 12.30.
I'm an avid reader of poetry and will from time to time put poems that have enchanted me on our website. For now, a few words from Tagore:
"Let us pray not to be sheltered from dangers but to be fearless when facing them."
